Introduction
Challenge:
Design a dual seam weld cell to enable 1 operator to make 600 perfect seam welds on gun clips an hour in a variety of materials and shapes.
Solution:
Weldlogic Engineering selected the Plasma Welding Process to minimize torch service and provide a high production rate.
The seam welders automatically align the parts , clamp the parts, seam weld the parts and eject the welded clips.
A chiller is provided to maintain a stable temperature on the mandrel and clamping.
