Introduction
CHALLENGE
Weldlogic Mechanical & Electrical Engineering were challenged to come up with a High Purity Tig Weld Cell outside a traditional high purity Glove box.
Welding High Purity Valves, Titanium Assemblies, Welds that needed to look perfect inside and out with no “No-Discoloration”.
Engineering Challenge To offer higher productivity there would need to be a way to quick purge the chamber with 12 volumes of gas quickly to insure the high purity gas envelope.
Following the high volume flow the system would automatically transition to a low flow rate to maintain purity during welding.
SOLUTION
Weldlogic Engineers designed a gas enclosure to encapsulate the welded assembly in a mini-gas enclosure during purge and welding.
2 flow meters and valves were selected with all S.S. plumbing along with software to select the purge times and maintenance flow times.
This new Miniature High Purity Gas enclosure now enables manufactures to weld up specialty products and produce colorless welds inside and out without the expensive costs of a glove box.
