CHALLENGE
A manufacturer of magnetic-enclosed devices needed a laser welding system that would allow low-skill operators to consistently produce high-quality hermetically sealed welds-without relying on outside vendors.
To regain control of their critical welding process, they sought a fully automated solution that could deliver precision, repeatability, and simplified operation. The system needed to store weld recipes and maintain repeatability within ±1%.
SOLUTION
Weldlogic Engineering delivered a turnkey solution by integrating our PWL-15-36 High-Precision Weld Lathe with the AWS-2000 4-Axis Advanced Welding System Controller.
This system features:
- AC Servo Motors and Drives
- Precision slides and ball nuts
- Repeatability better than ±0.001″
With simple push-button operation, this multi-axis laser weld cell empowers operators to load parts and run validated weld sequences with confidence. Our Weld Specialists also developed and optimized the circumferential seam welds, with results fully verified through helium leak testing and metallurgical lab analysis.
