AWS-3 Axis G.T.A.W. Weld Cell

CHALLENGE

This customer needed a very flexible Automatic Welding System, a “Do all in one weld cell”, to address a broad range of diameters (1″ to 28″).

The lengths range from 1″ to 16″ and some required torch tilt in 2 axis to offer access to the weld joint. All the welds need an internal purge to provide a sanitary internal wetted surface.

SOLUTION

Weldlogic Engineering assessed the requirements and designed, fabricated, and refined a Custom Headstock with 2 axis to address the wide range of diameters and lengths.

The AWS — Advanced Weld System — controller and power supply with 3 Axis of control enabled 1 turn-key system to address the full range of product welding required.
