CHALLENGE
The Production ChallengeA longtime Weldlogic customer needed a single laser seam welding platform capable of handling perforated tubes from .750″ to 36″ in diameter, lengths from 1.5″ to 48″, and wall thicknesses starting at .015″ and up. The diameter range was too wide for any single seam welder to address effectively.
SOLUTION
Designed and built a dual seam welder — the PLS-48 for large diameters and the UPS-12 for small — on one shared platform, time-sharing a single AWS Laser between both systems. The result delivered the performance of two advanced laser seam welders at a fraction of the cost.
