Challenge

The industry is a rapidly growing market to offer the end user series of noise reduction baffles stacked end to end and all circumferentially welded to offer a quieter experience to protect their hearing.

These welds must not distort the baffles to enable a near perfect alignment from baffle to baffle. Conventional welding produces a high degree of heat input and generally distorts the through hole alignment compromising the product performance.

Solution

Weldlogic Weld Process Specialists have applied our Laser process to this special application and discovered the Laser process offers near perfect alignment and high strength under the extreme testing conditions.

Our system offers high speed, low heat input, high strength and low operator skill. In brief this system enables a non-welder / operator to manufacture at a pace of 35-40 finished pieces per hour.
