C.N.C. Fender Roll Forming System

Challenge

Take a long flat sheet of metal and form two radius on one machine at the same time to a high forming quality standard.

Eliminate the blacksmithing skill required to form these dual shapes.

Solution

Weldlogic Engineering took our C.N.C. 4-Roll machine that is Servo Driven and developed a custom set of lower and upper mandrels and dies that would manage forming the 2 critical radii on one machine.

The C.N.C. control along with true positioning enables this complex shape to be formed and the program stored in the HMI – memory for future production work.
